Has anyone ever had a mono test comeback negative when you really did have mono?

I have been tested for mono and have several symptoms that go with mono but the blood test (mono spot) came back negative. I am still suffering with this illness and have been for 6 weeks total, the last 3 being the worse. I have chills, occasional fever, sore throat, severly swollen glands, and an achy body.
