Shaving bumps (i know.. just read..)?

I know this is kinda.. weird. and i reaally don't like doing it but my latest greatest girl wants me to shave everything down there. So my problem is that the skin right above my and below my navel is extremely soft/sensitive and when i shave it i get serious razor bumps and as hard as i try i cannot stop from nicking every single hair follicle. I have a slight beard and i could grow a mive one so i do understand fully how to shave correctly but for the life of me i cannot get this to look good at all. Any suggestions on how i may be able to get rid of this hair shaving or otherwise, without leaving these horrible red bumps everywhere? (they kinda hurt too which is also not cool).
