Chicken Pox..............?

So i am 17 years old and I've never had the chicken pox. Ive gotten the shot that prevents me from getting it and I know that I need to get booster shots in the future of the same injection. I'm just wondering, even though i have these shots can i still get chicken pox? i hope not because i know as i get older the symptoms become worse and worse...like shingles.
