F1 What is the point?

There is no point to all this madness. We just need to be entertained for 2 hours or more if you count practice. There once was a series with identical cars called IROC. The NASCAR drivers almost always won. They seem to be better at going round in circles. Did Brazil cut down a rain forest for it's track?
