Fed Ex tracking problem?

I purchased tickets online that were to be sent via fed ex. An email confirmation was sent with a tracking number. The fed ex website says the package was shipped on the 7th and the delivery status on the website it says "package data transmitted to fed ex." I'm not sure what that means. No door tags have been left. I called the Fed Ex hotline but it just tells me the same thing. What can i do?
