How can i transfer locked domain by security code ?

The domain name needs to be unlocked. Most registrars have unlock domain and get authorization code as the same step. But, I had a friend in a similar situation. She just called the registrar and they pushed the domain to a different account (for her) where she could unlock and get the auth code.
